Tasks

-Prepare timely and accurate monthly AIA billing packages according to clients billing requirements -Assist in Month End and Year End Close -Maintain Accounts Receivable Aging -Enter vendor invoices and route for approval in accounting system -Process subcontractor monthly pay applications by reviewing and collecting required forms according to client project, enter and route for approval in accounting system -Maintain job billing records -Monitor job cost for both accounts receivable billing and accounts payable purposes -Handle payment inquiries and discrepancies -Maintain Accounts Payable filing system -Review client’s contracts to ensure accurate billing submittal

What You Bring

-The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Generally, the job requires 70% sitting, 15% walking, and 15% standing. -Working knowledge of GMP (guaranteed maximum price) and Cost Plus AR billing -A associate’s degree in accounting or finance. -Working knowledge of AIA construction billing -Excels in the following skills: accuracy, attention to detail, time management, organizational, communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, multitasking, works both independently and as a team player, prioritization of work, and capable of meeting deadline -Three years of experience in accounting and at least 1 year of experience in commercial construction accounting -Please note that climbing stairs is a physical requirement. Some offices contain an elevator, but one must be able to use stairs for fire drills and emergencies -One to three years of accounting or customer service experience is required -Frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds. -Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration Preferred
