Assistant Superintendent

Overview

Assist in managing $1M+ electrical construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget.

Tasks

-Assisting with completing field administration: timesheets, quantity reports, purchases and the job diaries -Assisting with supervising and mentoring field personnel (15+ electricians) -Assisting with coordinating all manpower, materials, and equipment -Assisting with organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities -Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers. -Assisting with managing, and providing leadership for safety and environmental programs -Assisting with monitoring job costing, quality reporting, forecasting and productivity -Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required. -Assisting with implementing and monitoring the construction plan; including scheduling and logistics

-Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment -Journeyman Trade Certification in a related Construction trade will be considered an asset -A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget -Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. -Excellent knowledge of the Building Codes -Demonstrated leadership skills -Proficient in MS Office Suite -Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.
