The Role

Overview

Coordinates procurement activities and manages supplier relations

Tasks

-Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements. -Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity. -Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. -Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. -Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs. -Maintain procurement documentation for audits and internal controls. -Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed. -Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used. -Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence. -Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company. -Work closely with finance and warehouse teams to ensure smooth procurement-to-payment processes. -Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records. -Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed. -Manages communications with several suppliers. -Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner. -Maintains accurate records. -Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Fluency in Mandarin and English: -Three to five years’ experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Able to Speak -Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. -Three to five years previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative support role. -Experience with SAP -Detail-oriented and proactive. -Able to Read -Ability to translate from English to Mandarin -Ability to translate from Mandarin to English -Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. -Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. -High level of accuracy and attention to detail. -Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
