Overview
Lead senior electrical engineer for power projects, overseeing design & client coordination.

Tasks
-Prepare engineering deliverables including one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment data sheets, calculations, specifications, technical requisitions, hazardous area classification drawings, electrical power studies (ETAP), etc. -Review vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met. -Lead team in identifying and communicating project scope changes through project execution. -Represent the engineering team in client, project management, and vendor meetings and communications. -Perform complex calculations and apply standards and specifications correctly without supervision. -Serves as technical resource and point of contact for external or internal clients. -Develop and leads design improvement and cost savings initiatives. -Utilize industry and company standards/tools to achieve effective engineering and design. -Lead mid to large-size projects or proposals. -Ensure stakeholder vendor document review engagement and coordinate and resolve stakeholder comments. -Assign tasks to projects staff and keep track of work loading, progress, and project schedule. -Apply techniques/technologies to improve processes and business results. -Review project team engineering and design deliverables. -Produce design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Perform assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize personal productivity. -Works collaboratively across departments, involving others in problem solving. Initiates meetings within own team, other disciplines or internal customers for clarity on work. -Lead engineering and design quality checks for mid to large-sized projects to ensure accuracy and technical compliance. -Serve as resource and mentor to less experienced engineers. -Lead projects in how to interpret and apply codes and standards. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Take leadership and ownership of project initiatives as required. -Recognize the importance of client/customer needs. -Recognize engineering responsibility for public health, safety, and environmental stewardship.

What You Bring
-Ability to work with limited supervision. -Demonstrated flexibility to adjust to varying work demands and challenges. -Knowledgeable of electrical engineering equipment specifications. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an CEAB accredited four-year college or university program required. -Supports project teams and departments positively and productively. Works well with other to accomplish common goals and objectives. -Previous experience working in a lead role providing guidance, leadership and training to less experienced engineers. -Regular, reliable attendance -Demonstrated experience working as a team representative, coordinating with inter-discipline and project functional groups. -Knowledge of industry codes, guidelines and regulatory standards including NEC, NFPA and API. -Superior written and verbal communication skills, utilized in preparing presentations, communicating ideas, and gaining stakeholder buy in. -P.Eng recommended. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Knowledgeable of electrical design codes and standards. -Minimum 15 years' of relevant electrical engineering experience in power engineering-related duties. Experience in the oil and gas market is also welcomed. -Previous experience in a client facing role. -Demonstrate critical data analysis and problem solving skills in meeting project challenges as they arise. -Experience with ETAP Electrical Power System Analysis software desired. -Demonstrate effective time management in prioritizing project team commitments and individual work requirements. -Knowledgeable in power system studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and relay coordination preferred. -Ability to communicates effectively with supervisors and team members, whether remote or in office. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
