The Role
Overview
Provide environmental permitting advice, manage applications, compliance and client relationships.

Tasks
-Discharging and/or overseeing pre-operational conditions and permit improvement condition items. -Providing advice on and managing the preparation of applications for environmental permits, licenses and approvals from regulatory agencies – including new applications and variations to and surrender of existing permits. -Advising on and managing the preparation of environmental management system documents and supporting management plans required by our Clients environmental permits. -Ensuring quality control of the output of projects in accordance with the approved QA system. -Building strong Client relationships to maintain existing client base and develop new Clients. -Supporting junior staff development. -Organising junior staff and own workloads to deliver high quality work to agreed deadlines. -Responding to and dealing with technical queries on projects as required and in a professional and timely manner. -Applying business development skills to delivering the business plan and securing new work. -Overseeing permit monitoring and compliance reporting to the UK Regulators.

What You Bring
-Good problem-solving skills -Confident at accurately scoping new work and producing costed proposals. -Excellent communication skills -Substantial experience in preparing permit applications, variations and surrender applications across a wide range of sectors. -Experience in developing environmental management systems and management plans required for permitted facilities – fire prevention plans, accident management plans, dust management plans, odour management plans -Ability and confidence to build and maintain working relationships with clients, external bodies and internal teams. -Valid UK driving licence. -A good understanding of UK regulators permitting guidance and requirements. -Strong project management skills including financial project management and a proven ability to bring work in on budget. -Ability to successfully deliver business development and secure new work and clients. -Line management experience -A degree in science, engineering or environmental science.
