The Role

Overview

Perform planned & reactive maintenance on electrical/mechanical assets across multiple ASDA stores.

Tasks

-To comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times. -To update Cascade, managing holidays and absence. -To recruit and select suitably qualified and experienced MA to ensure continuous service delivery in stores; following company processes and policies in recruitment. -To respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where required. -To interview / recruit / oversee / manage the Maintenance Assistant/Mobile Maintenance Assistant and Multi site Maintenance Assistant as recruited against the stores they cover. -Carryout first look for equipment such as Fire and Security/ HVAC/electrical and general issues -e.g. repairs to the building fabric and surfaces. -To complete all necessary PPM’s and ensure all PPM remedial tasks are accurately logged and -Complete all induction and training administration, including probationary reviews to ensure that the team are fully competent, and aware of their performance. -Ensure current compliance documentation required for relevant allocated tasks are completed to required quality standards. -To assist other MSTs in other Stores/Regions when requested to do so by the RES -actioned, ensuring legal compliance -To supervise the Maintenance Assistant (MA), provide regular coaching and support them to perform their role in line with company processes. -To complete general repairs and maintenance to ASDA store sites as designated by the RES, -To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with City and ASDA colleagues. -Ensure that your team attend and complete all mandatory training, including induction programmes and eLearning modules within the timescales required. -To communicate with Asda Store Management teams and RES of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store. -To carry out alterations and installations within your technical competence and in accordance with current specifications. -To maintain accurate administration as well as City applications, recording of jobs live and effective utilisation of time. -To participate in an Out of Hours standby rota (min 1 week in 4) and to complete general repairs to plumbing systems and drainage during Out of Hours Standby -To complete basic repairs to plumbing systems and drainage during Out of Hours Standby -To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and contract SLA’s -To deliver technical coaching solutions to the standards required, ensuring participation of trainees through active encouragement and support of learning -To provide on the job coaching and support to the team to ensure they are able to perform to the required standards within their role. -To carry out surveys and complete reports as required -To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments, which may include overnight stays.

What You Bring

-Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role. -Helpful/friendly manner -Ability to manage and support team members -Current driving licence -Ability to work at heights -Willingness to work flexible hours -To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the RES, or other City Management Team. -Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc. -3 phase electrics and its applications -City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection -Customer focused -GCSE Standard -Ability to work with minimum supervision -Good communication skills (written and verbal) -Ability to maintain/repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressors, to recognised standards -C&G 2382 (18th edition) -General plumbing and building experience -Familiarity with completion of electrical certification -Ability to complete the standard required for maintenance and repair of electrical/ electronic equipment and appliances
