Electrician/ Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and PLCs in production.

Tasks

-Will be expected to conduct all assigned tasks scheduled by supervisor -Comply with Company Safety Policies -Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies by utilizing lean and 5s principles -Follow and enforce company safety policies and procedures always and operate wide variety of manufacturing tools -Work with company engineering on electrical upgrade and new equipment installs -Maintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshooting PLC's by utilizing ladder diagrams and schematics. -Execute electrical related inspections and report accordingly -Must place the upmost importance on working safely, and maintain a safe work environment for self and others, always -Lifting heavy materials, up to 50 pounds -Perform Electrical preventative maintenance of electrical control panels and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards -Run conduit and electrically terminate wiring in industrial equipment, interpret input output modules, and operate a variety of tools and equipment in a safe manner -Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection) -Actively participate in the preventative maintenance program -Utilize troubleshooting techniques to analyze, detect, and determine the nature of a problem, and extent of repairs required

What You Bring

-1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field -Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions -Able to work independently and as a team -Good communication skills -Able to work in a fast-paced environment -Ability to move or traverse about the facilities -Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and software -Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility -Working near moving mechanical parts -Climb and work occasionally at heights -Certification in relevant skill or trade (Required) -Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and motor controls -Exposure to airborne particles within a manufacturing operation -Close attention to detail and organized -Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and Software -Basic knowledge of Gas burner controls -Must be flexible to work any shift and/or weekends as scheduled -Team player, reliable and high work integrity -Capable of utilizing mobile equipment: pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, boom lift -Ability to stoop, bend, walk, stand, sit, reach and climb -High School Diploma -Must be well organized, and able to complete, and perform work orders -Good knowledge of windows Microsoft Office (excel, word, power point, etc.)
