Tasks

-Expedite orders when urgency demands. -Validate vendor acknowledgments and ensure punctual delivery. -Respond promptly to inquiries from staff and administration regarding purchasing procedures and order statuses. -Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate tracking and expediting as needed. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quantity, quality, and freight concerns efficiently. -Issue or verify prices on purchase orders according to project requirements. -Maintain departmental files and documents accurately. -Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance job performance. -Identify and evaluate new vendor sources to optimize cost and quality. -Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and vendors. -Procure items by negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors. -Address and resolve issues related to back orders and returns promptly.

-Proven track record of achieving cost savings and fostering strong vendor relationships. -High school diploma. -Exceptional analytical abilities, including proficiency in inventory and sales trend analysis. -Exceptional organizational skills with a strong emphasis on follow-up. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and Fishbowl inventory management software. -Three (3) years of experience in purchasing commodity items, preferably in the plumbing or related industry. -Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
