The Role

Overview

Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on facility systems at LAX.

Tasks

-Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. -Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. -Removes furniture, equipment, shelving, fixtures, etc. from work area. Installs and/or repairs drywall and plaster. Applies corner beads, tapes, patches, sands, strips, washes and primes surfaces, returns areas to working order when project is completed. -Attend work and safety meetings as required -Replace lighting and ballasts -Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner -Update work order status in real time -Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. -Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed -Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary -Utilize CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed. -Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection -General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors. -Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components. -Completes other various duties related to Painting, Carpentry, Flooring, Cabinetry, and related tasks, under the direction of the supervisor and/or designee. -Inspects various damaged surfaces (e.g., plaster, drywall, water-damaged areas, ceiling and wall cracks) for remodeling. -Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts. -Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested -Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. -Submit P-card Receipts Daily -Uses various wall covering techniques and remedies to complete project.

What You Bring

-Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license -Strong Interpersonal skills (KS to add) -Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process (if mobile). -Have a minimum of 1- 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical. -Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving. -Strong Customer Service skills -3rd Party Certification - Preferred -Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders. -Practice Defensive Driving at all times -Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled -Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license (if mobile) -High school diploma or equivalent
