Overview

Lead a surveying crew to perform construction staking, boundary, and topographic surveys.

Tasks

-Accomplishes majority of survey tasks with limited interaction with supervisors and/or Land Surveyors -Supervises a crew which conducts field surveys as defined by the project manager -Communicates effectively with project manager as to project progress, problems, client change requests and job completion -Communicates effectively with, and meets the needs of the client representative, governing agent and public representatives involved in each project; keeps the client field representative informed as to progress and problems and notifies when job is complete

What You Bring

-Ability to travel up to 25% -Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, including attention to detail -A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR). -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines. -Strong communication skills -Valid driver’s license. -5+ years of experience working as a Party Chief -Proficiency in construction staking and boundary and topographic surveys
