Architect - Facade, Theming & Stonework

Design and supervise building facades, theming, and stonework on high‑end projects.

Tasks

-Provide technical support during construction to resolve facade-related issues. -Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards. -Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the works for Contractor's adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant's specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety. -Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out. -Attend project, site progress and any related technical meetings as directed by the project manager. -Work closely with structural engineers to ensure facade and stonework designs are feasible and safe. -Review Contractor's shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to project manager with appropriate comments / approval. -Monitors procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. -Review and processing engineering submittals related to façade works including glazing, stone cladding and theming plaster renders. -Coordination of various disciplines involved in project delivery. -Conduct site visits to monitor progress and adherence to design specifications. -Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement. -Participate in client meetings to present design concepts and incorporate feedback. -Ensure all designs meet environmental performance standards and energy efficiency requirements

What You Bring

-In-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction, local and international building codes and sustainability standards, and project’s lifecycle. -Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale design projects -Understanding of stone sourcing, finishing techniques, and installation best practices. -Specialization or certification in facade engineering or building envelopes is a plus. -8-10 years of experience in architectural design/supervision with a focus on facades, theming, and stonework within high end projects in KSA. -Excellent communication and collaboration skills. -Knowledge of advanced facade technologies (e.g., curtain walls, ventilated facades). -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. -Experience in thematic design for hospitality or cultural projects. -Proven portfolio showcasing facade and stonework projects -Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is a plus -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering. -Strong knowledge of building materials, stonework techniques, and facade systems. -Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail. -Technical assessments experience with extensive knowledge of Architectural detailing and façade systems.
