Tasks

-Assist in preparing bid proposals and estimate summaries for presentation to leadership and clients. -Conduct site visits as needed to assess existing conditions and confirm design assumptions. -Review design documents and identify cost-saving or value-engineering opportunities. -Perform accurate and thorough quantity take-offs, including import/export, backfill, piping, etc. as well as organize and format estimates for ease of comprehension by the end user -Stay informed of trends in construction materials, labor, equipment, and technology. -Identify potential risks or constructability concerns and propose mitigation strategies. -Develop comprehensive cost estimates for self-performed and subcontracted work using current software and historical data. -Solicit, evaluate, and organize subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure complete coverage of project scopes. -Collaborate with Preconstruction and Operations teams to ensure a smooth project handoff.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. -HCSS HeavyBid (or similar) estimating software -PE license or the ability to obtain one is a plus. -Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -Minimum of 3–5 years engineering, estimating, or similar experience with mass earthwork, underground utilities, water/wastewater treatment plants, or exposed piping. -Bluebeam (or similar) PDF viewer/takeoff software -Primavera P6 (or similar) scheduling software -Agtek (or similar) earthwork takeoff software
