Tasks

-Suggest and implement cost-savings ideas -Ensure accuracy of costs and accounting codes through strong attention to detail -Keep information accessible by filing documents in an organized manner -Confer with both project managers’ requests and vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule -Partner with Accounts Payable in setting up new vendors and resolving invoicing issues as they pertain to purchasing -Request quotes and negotiates prices with suppliers -Maintain a physical presence onsite and provide assistance to specific groups, managers and project management teams as needed -Ensure adherence to the company’s documented purchasing processes -Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices -Issue and manage purchase orders for approved requisitions and contracts, supporting a variety of departments

What You Bring

-Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills -Proficient with Microsoft Office products -Ability to learn and utilize REMARCABLE Purchasing and Vista Accounting software -Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience -Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments
