Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including FERC, USACE, and FEMA guidelines.
Conduct and review risk assessments, including potential failure modes analysis (PFMA) and semi-quantitative/quantitative risk evaluations.
Guide the integration of innovative tools and data analytics into risk management practices.
Advise clients on prioritization strategies for infrastructure investments based on risk profiles.
Provide subject matter expertise in geotechnical, structural, and hydraulic engineering as it relates to dam safety.
Collaborate with federal agencies (e.g., USACE, FEMA, Bureau of Reclamation), state regulators, and private owners to align safety standards and share best practices.
Oversee or contribute to the execution of major dam safety projects, including design reviews, risk mitigation planning, and construction oversight.
Support the development of dam and levee safety programs, including inspection protocols, risk communication, and emergency action planning.
Represent clients in technical forums, public meetings, and interagency working groups.
Lead the development and application of risk-informed methodologies for dams, levees, and related infrastructure.

Proficiency in risk modeling tools and dam safety software
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
BA/BS in civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Familiarity with the USACE Risk Management Center framework
Experience with federal dam safety programs (e.g., USACE, FERC, FEMA)
Experience in dam safety, infrastructure risk management, or related fields
Experience directing or advising national-level dam safety programs
Demonstrated leadership in federal or large-scale infrastructure programs
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
