BESS Advisory Consultant

Overview

Advise on battery storage projects, delivering due diligence, owners engineering, and client services.

Tasks

-Work with all internal stakeholders, and any sub-contractors -Managing budgets and project costs -Ensure the quality of work meets clients’ expectations -Contract specification review and preparation -Supporting the development of proposals to secure new work -Planning and organising -Attending client meetings and undertaking site visits within the UK and globally -Work with clients to identify their requirements and key points of contact -Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget -Mentor and support less experienced team members -Responsibility for the financial performance of any projects managed -Identify and communicate relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities -Ensuring that appropriate contracts are agreed with clients and time and cost is accounted for appropriately within the business -Prepare & deliver presentations and reports for Asset Management team and/or clients

What You Bring

-Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks -Competent user of Microsoft Office365 products -Experience in the renewables industry in a technical consulting capacity -Proven ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English -Previous demonstrable experience in performing owners engineering, due diligence, technical advisory and/or consultancy activities in the BESS energy field -Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects (including project finance) -Similar consultancy or in-field experience with battery storage systems -Strong commercial and contractual awareness -Understanding of technical aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects -Established network of contacts within the renewables industry -Valid driving licence for use within UK -Willingness to travel -Knowledge of battery energy storage systems -Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering or relevant Business / Commercial discipline -Attention to Detail -Client facing experience in a consultancy role -Proficiency in other language(s)
