Tasks
-Innovate for Excellence: Collaborate with manufacturing sites, corporate teams, external suppliers, and customers to enhance cold-end packaging equipment and processes, optimizing safety, quality, and cost. -Champion Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Kaizen, to enhance processes and outcomes. -Streamlined Procedures: Create clear, efficient cold-end procedures and work instructions that are easy to understand, implement, and replicate. -Prioritize Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by strictly adhering to safety rules and procedures, always putting safety at the forefront of every task. -Instill an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner. -Lead Plant Trials: Take the lead or actively participate in plant trials for new products, material changes, or equipment upgrades in the packaging area. -Drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce. -Think Strategically: Align packaging strategies with short- and long-term goals. -Empower Teams: Motivate and engage team members to contribute their best. -Maximize Equipment Performance: Continuously improve the performance of automated packaging equipment by identifying best practices, sharing knowledge across sites, and implementing technology upgrades. -Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Product Development, and Operations teams to evaluate costs and feasibility for innovative packaging solutions and processes. -Lead with Confidence: Inspire and guide teams toward shared goals. -Stay Ahead of Technology: Stay informed on the latest advancements in automation technology for packaging and material handling, bringing cutting-edge solutions to the organization. -Training & SOP Development: Deliver training and create standard operating procedures for new or upgraded packaging equipment to ensure seamless adoption. -Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization. -Optimized Material Flow: Work with Corporate Engineering, KIE, and plant engineering teams to design manufacturing line layouts that enhance material flow and reduce operational costs. -Strategic Packaging Solutions: Develop and implement a comprehensive packaging strategy that meets the needs of Operations, Shipping, Warehousing, and Customers, driving efficiency and satisfaction. -Drive Improvements: Provide actionable recommendations for plant and product enhancements to boost efficiency and quality.
