Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Prepares and submits safety meeting documentation as assigned in a timely manner -Coordinates surveys, material testing, and sampling as required -Measures, calculates, and documents quantities of construction materials in accordance with designated procedures, formats, and computer programs -Provides support to construction project team for change order preparation and monitoring -Documents and informs appropriate representative of relevant observations, including the progress of the work, problems that develop and works proactively in identifying potential problems/issues -Verifies contractor's work and materials conforms to contractual requirements -As directed, prepares clear and accurate reports, diaries and photographs recording daily construction progress -Reads and interprets project plans, specifications, permits, and other pertinent contract documents and exercise sound engineering and construction judgement

What You Bring

-Demonstrates knowledge in construction inspection applications -Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalities -Possession of a valid driver's license - must meet driver eligibility requirements -Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Project -Willingness and ability to travel -3-5+ years progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, or 6-8+ years of general construction experience -Holds a high school diploma/GED or equivalent -Knowledge and direct experience with residential pavement rehabilitation projects -Competent verbal and written communication skills -A two-year Associates degree in relevant area a plus
