The Role

Overview

Maintains communal areas, handles waste, repairs and supports contractors for a residential estate.

Tasks

-Operate bailer and compactor in the compactor room. -Conduct asset testing as required. -Sweep and maintain cleanliness of block bin rooms daily. -Disassemble, move, and shift furniture or equipment. -Liaise with the Property Manager to coordinate and oversee contractors completing essential work. -Remove rubbish via litter picking, moving communal bins for collection, and wiping down surfaces. -Work collaboratively with contractors and maintenance teams. -Maintain property exterior throughout all seasons, including applying rock salt during icy or snowy conditions. -Move metal/plastic bins on and off trailers. -Remove bin chute when necessary. -Resolve problems and adhere to health and safety guidelines, SOPs, and Risk Assessments. -Unblock bin chutes as directed. -Wash down carparks and remove cobwebs and litter. -Communicate effectively with residents and provide a high level of customer service. -Clean gym and resident facilities daily to maintain hygiene and presentation standards. -Carry out maintenance repairs and decoration works as needed. -Wash down block bin rooms weekly to uphold high standards.

What You Bring

-Previous experience in general maintenance and cleaning tasks. -Strong communication skills and ability to engage with residents and team members. -Experience in delivering high-quality customer service. -Good horticultural knowledge and willingness to support gardening operations. -Clear or clean general areas as directed by Supervisor/Management. -Physically capable of operating machinery and handling heavy equipment. -Drive Tug (if in possession of a full driving license) and notify the Development Manager accordingly. -Demonstrate good communication skills. -Jet wash hard surfaces, carparks, main footpaths, and podiums. -Work independently and as part of a team. -Demonstrate good horticultural knowledge and assist the gardening team with essential works on a regular basis. -Possess general knowledge of machinery such as Bin Tug, Compactor, Bailer, Sweepers, and other tools used in waste collection and cleaning. -Good working knowledge of estate management issues.
