The Role
Overview
Manage safety programs, conduct inspections, train staff, ensure regulatory compliance.

Tasks
-Investigate and report work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents, enforcing corrective actions to prevent recurrence -Provide safety technical expertise, training, and supporting resources to the branch and workers -Anticipate, identify, evaluate, and mitigate safety and health hazards, both routine and non-routine -Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) -Ensure timely submission of PCG and client safety & accident reports, statistics, and documentation -Act as a liaison between the company and clients regarding site safety management -Assist with implementing and administering PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures -Review all safety incidents and investigation reports to verify accuracy and completeness -Conduct job site inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety policies, procedures, and accident prevention plans -Establish branch and project safety goals while ensuring adherence to safety regulations -Promote and enforce safe work practices among all employees through coaching and ongoing safety engagement

What You Bring
-Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and construction safety standards -Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities -Fluency in Spanish is preferred -Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and deadlines -General knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials used in the construction industry -Board of Certified Safety Professionals credential (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP) is a plus -Strong customer service skills and an ability to build lasting client relationships -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, a related discipline, or comparable work experience -Ability to work effectively in a team environment -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word -Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught -OSHA certification -Training experience is preferred -A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
