- Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction
- Assist in planning materials, equipment, and systems for efficient excavation operations
- Monitor budgets and schedules, including cost control and 3-week lookahead planning
- Coordinate and oversee excavation activities to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Interpret excavation-specific design plans and geotechnical drawings
- Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders during planning and execution
- Support and guide early-career engineers through mentorship and knowledge-sharing

In line with the above, ACCIONA is now seeking an Excavation Site Engineer to join the Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2 Project to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of complex underground works. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for excavation, who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to safety, sustainability, and innovation. Specific Tasks Include
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster inclusive team environments

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven experience in excavation or underground construction projects
- Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
