Operations Materials Manager

Oversee plant material flow, scheduling & inventory to meet production targets.

Tasks

-Responsible for plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling -Monitor execution of production schedule defined by the Network (schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan) -Maintain target inventory levels and meeting On Time Delivery (OTD) goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network -Direct purchasing of materials from engineer to order products focusing on strategic partnerships -Drive forecast attainment aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) resulted from the Supply, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) plan -Generate short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the Network -Point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall Supply, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) plan -Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team. -Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments,Materials Management Assessment (MMA) / Operational Assessment (OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping -Manage materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant’s operations by deploying lean material flow. -Escalate material availability to the Center of Excellence (COE) and Network teams -Administration of direct/indirect and Maintenance, Repair & Other (MRO) purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.

What You Bring

-Ability to motivate team members to drive for results -Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution -Minimum three (3) years of manager of people experience -Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc -Experience in supporting cross-functional SIOP and Inventory management processes -APICS CPIM Certification is desirable -SAP knowledge -Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring and scheduling execution -In-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product -Strong leadership and communication skills -Minimum five (5) years’ combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment
