Tasks

-Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. -Ensure all documentation is complete and accessible in company repository. This includes the contract and all pertinent sign off documentation and work papers. -Providing cost advice and support to project teams. -Support project managers with contract budgeting. -Conduct feasibility studies to vet proposed projects. -Measuring and analyzing project costs and quantities. -Conducting value engineering and life cycle cost analyses Quantity Surveyor Qualifications C Skills. -Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labor, timeframes. -Prepare tender packages and contracts, including bills of quantities. -Work with client contract managers and procurement specialists to resolve contractual matters. -Analyze repair/maintenance costs. -Work closely with project controls and finance teams to ensure CAPEX procurement aligns with cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting. -Provide advice on and interpretation of contract requirements. -Work with procurement and or manage the RFP process thru the pre-bid qualification process, selection of bidders, RFP returns, bid levelling and negotiation, prepare bid tab and recommendation to award (RTA). -Preparing contracts, change orders, and cost reports. -Manage risk, value engineering and cost control measures. -Coordinate with program/project managers to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled. -Consult with clients to understand their requirements. -Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes. -Analyze outcomes and provide budget/progress reports. -Maintain current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices. -Negotiate contracts and schedules. -Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. -Continually assess value for the client's investment. -Oversee and value subcontractors' work for payments. -Monitor scope creep and scope changes. -Advise on claims, disputes and any contractual issues.

What You Bring

-Advanced knowledge of construction law and regulations. -Proficiency in procurement and contract negotiation. -Professional accreditation such as MRICS or equivalent. -Thorough understanding of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices. -Must be self-motived and highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus 5 - 10 years relevant experience. -Experience with construction and project management software. -Previous experience in a similar role. -Strong network within the construction industry. -Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, strong Excel preferred. -Must have excellent communication and presentation skills necessary to interface with external engineering, architectural and construction firms, suppliers, the management team and other organizations within client organizations. -Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
