The Role

Overview

Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.

Tasks

-Complete HVACR preventive maintenance in accordance with established standards -Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, group meetings and maintaining tools and vehicle (if applicable) -Install replacement equipment and parts per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties -Follow maintenance schedule to complete accurate and timely equipment maintenance and operating logs -Complete documentation, including but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, service reports and purchase card logs -Troubleshoot, Analyze and repair HVACR malfunctions in accordance with EPA established standards

What You Bring

-FDNY Fire Watch and Burning Permits. -OSHA 30. -5 - 10 years HVAC experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment /systems. -EPA universal refrigeration license. Specific license and certification requirements listed in Service Level Agreement. -High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, HVAC Apprenticeship Program -Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems. Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure. Read blue prints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals -Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. -Clean Drivers License. -Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations -Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration. Occasionally loud noise level. May require safety equipment including, but not limited to, steel toe shoes, hearing, eye and hand protection.
