Tasks

We are hiring a Materials Manager for Hubbell’s DMC Power Business in Olive Branch, MS. The Materials Manager is responsible for all materials and inventory levels across multiple locations and managing the global supply chain for DMC, which includes sourcing, inventory management, buying and scheduling. This position is responsible for developing annual inventory plans and monthly forecasts, and managing KPI’s, including days of inventory, on-time performance, vender performance, past due, etc.… assigned. -Monitor and improve the strategic measurements of Inventory, customer on-time service, demonstrated lead time, and supplier performance. -Develop annual inventory plan that ties to the production and sales plan. -Work with operations management on capacity constraints, lean activities, and material issues. -Manage material logistics associated with supplying material to customers as well as other HPS locations. -Direct facilities annual physical inventory and account for variances. -Leverage corporate sourcing organization on buys, shorten lead times, and reduce costs on major commodities. -Support business needs in monthly PSI (Production, Sales and Inventory) forecast for next month and remainder of the year. -Work closely with offsite forecasting planning to ensure the integrity of the forecasts loaded in MRP. -Identify and develop methods designed to minimize component shortages across multiple operations. -Develop standard practice procedures and departmental procedures which are in line with corporate procedures. -Oversee local sourcing/procurement group with respect to supporting the business plan, responsible for driving material cost take out, and vender performance. -Manage and support all local warehouse activity in the facility. Including receiving, warehousing and shipping material between plants and to customers as needed. -Manage and oversee physical inventories activities, including system upload and downloads at multiple facilities. -Monitor the stocking programs and forecasts to ensure updates are made according to Hubbell guidelines. -Present inventory/service updates and strategic plans to management. -Oversee forecasting of PPV (purchase price variance). -Oversee multiple facility needs in our supply chain management, procurement/scheduling and warehouse activities, including all material flow in and outside of the plant operations.

What You Bring

-Ability to travel on business-related trips up to 25%; ability to communicate; ability to work on a personal computer or other related equipment as required; ability to be out in plant operations on a regular basis. -Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred -Experience in making business decisions on inventory, scheduling, buying, sourcing practices, and organizational structure. -JDE E1 and SAP system experience preferred -Extensive experience in MRP/ERP systems
