Senior finance analyst handling O&M, capital expenses, forecasting, reporting, and accounting.

Tasks
-Develop and maintain efficient, reliable and accurate business reporting tools. -Provide information to support the development of regulatory filings submitted to state and federal regulatory oversight agencies. -Work with department managers to develop financial targets and assist client organizations in delivering against established targets. -Provide financial, analytical and general business support to internal client organizations. -Develop long-term department-level O&M expense and workforce projections in support of the business planning process. Support consolidation and reporting efforts associated with the long-term business planning process. -Support general accounting and month-end close activities through the preparation and processing of journal entries and accruals, preparation of interdepartmental cost allocations, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts. -Analyze and interpret actual results, prepare short-term forecasts, and report to management concerning the following: O&M expense incurred at PacifiCorp administrative departments; capital project expense; and workforce levels.

-Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means. -Communication and interpersonal skills including ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature. -Working knowledge of FERC reporting standards and requirements. -A strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). -Knowledge of applicable Company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations. -Knowledge of research, analysis, and consulting techniques, procedures, practices, and applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations. -Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. -Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to present alternatives and recommendations. -Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information. -Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data especially excel and prior experience with financial accounting systems. -Experience in financial analysis. -Advanced degree and/or CPA designation. -A minimum of five years experience in accounting or a related field with strong data gathering, analysis, interpretation, trending, and modeling. -General understanding of utility economics and utility commission rules and regulations. -Experience with SAP and/or Oracle in an accounting or financial reporting role.
