Tasks

-access or use the online application process and need an alternative method for applying -Travel in short intervals may be required -Inspect work performed to ensure it meets specifications and is on schedule. -Maintain daily records of all significant project facts, crew timesheets, events and conditions. -Will aid crew foreman in implementing environmental, health and safety regulations and policies (local, state and government). -Assist with the instruction and training of employees and ensure the safety of the workers. -complete any part of the application process -Assist with analyzing construction equipment needs and trucking requirements. -Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping. -Supervises all phases of a paving operation such as maintenance of equipment, employees, and distribution of product. -Assist in scheduling of field activities, subcontractors and crew members. -Will direct and supervise the activities of the crew in the performance of their regular duties in the crew foreman’s absence. -Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment.

What You Bring

-5+ years' experience in Road Paving Management. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Must possess a current, valid driver's license. -Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day. -Knowledge of and ability to operate paving equipment (Example: Pavers, Rollers, Broom Tractor, Lute and Tack Truck) -Experience in roadway and site construction. -Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. -Must have a basic knowledge of abilities and limitations in all paving applications. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) -Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping. -Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions. -Knowledge of traffic control standards. -Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. -Must have the ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company. -Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization. -Must understand the dangers involved in an interstate operation. -Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. -Must be able to speak the English language fluently. -Ability to recognize potential problems before breakdowns occur. -Excellent communication and leadership skills.
