The Role
Overview
Assist journeymen with electrical maintenance/installation in commercial/industrial settings

Tasks
-Installing conduit systems. -Perform assigned tasks and responsibilities efficiently and effectively under the direction of the Service Manager and Journeyman Electrical Technicians. -Assist with maintenance, service and replacement or repair of motor control centers, switches, breakers, switchboard components, fixtures, branch circuit wiring, transformers, motors, BAS wiring. -Assist with electrical installations, including EV charging infrastructure, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, service upgrades and small projects. -Assisting with shut-down, lock-out, and start-up of major building equipment. -Assist the Journeyman Electrical Technicians to service, repair and maintain a wide variety of Electrical systems including fire alarm, building controls and data.

What You Bring
-Safety conscience individual who respects and adheres to all safety measures whilst on site. -Strong work ethic with impressive electrical problem solving/troubleshooting skills. -Registered as an apprentice in Alberta. -Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. -Ability to work on own initiative but also within a team. -Previous electrical experience in the commercial, industrial, institutional, multi-family residential and healthcare sectors considered an asset. -Experience with building automation, plumbing and HVAC/R considered an asset. -Able to work at heights with all necessary safety training completed. -Class 5 license with clean abstract required. -Electrical troubleshooting knowledge with a desire to learn how HVAC and plumbing systems operate. -Knowledge of the Canadian electrical code. -Ability to adhere and uphold the safety protocols and measures put in place by Modern Niagara to ensure the safety of all employees
