The Role
Overview
Install, troubleshoot, commission, and service Simplex fire alarm systems.

Tasks
-Coordinate the installation activities with all trades to optimize installation time. -Complete project documentation in a timely manner. -Execute projects on time and within allocated installation hours. -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals. -Adhere to all OSHA and Johnson Controls safety policies and procedures. -Conduct simulations and answer questions. -Work with the project manager to resolve problems that impair installation activities. -Attend all required site meetings. -Instruct and train customers on functional operation of the equipment/system.

What You Bring
-Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. -Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. -Five (5) years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire and Life Safety systems. -Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures. -Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction. -Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. -Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage and commissioning devices. -Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. -NICET Level II certification. -Knowledge of national and local Fire Codes -Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within crawl spaces and above ceilings, etc. -Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State, and local codes. -Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals. -Local State licenses. -Ability to lead & work well with team members. -Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. -High School Diploma or Equivalent -Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
