Tasks

-Ensure supplier evaluation forms and risk assessments are maintained. -Provide an effective and professional service in the procurement of materials covering: - -Work winning supply chain selection for Bid Leader -Ensure a robust negotiation process is applied in the engagement process. -Input to the monitoring of the marketplace to ensure awareness of pricing trends, risks and opportunities. -Provide market competitive procurement solutions for the operating unit which demonstrate best overall value for money. -Supporting the development of work package documents in conjunction with project teams -Ensure decisions are not focussed upon lowest price but overall best value for money -Support the development of the supply chain, products and innovations that bring cost and/or buildability benefits. -Support the monitoring of the supply chain performance, workload and financial status to protect the corporate position. -Providing a comprehensive procurement service for all projects -Supporting the production and driving of the procurement schedule -Ensure contract arrangements and package details are comprehensive and protect the business in its dealings with suppliers. -Support the development of an accredited and structured supply chain that is aligned to the regional demands and overall strategy. -Continuously seek out and assess new supply chain members to meet regional project demand. -Support the supply chain management activities, including structuring the supply chain, carrying out performance and relationship management to drive improved performance/cost benefits. -Deliver a consistent procurement approach across all projects within the region from work winning / pre-construction stage. -Support the group procurement functional goals and objectives within the region. -Support activities that generate and encourage an efficient, productive and continuously improving supply chain performance.

What You Bring

-MS package knowledge (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS -Experience of running supply chain events -Experience with tendering process (Compete For etc) -CIPS qualified -Minimum 3 years Buying experience -Good knowledge of sustainability within procurement practices is desirable. -Detailed knowledge and understanding of work practices, processes and procedures within the construction process from pre-construction stage and into construction stage. -Good time management skills. -Experience within a construction/engineering or similar background is desirable -Good existing business network and relationships with the supply chain. -Good working knowledge of contracts. -Good product and supplier knowledge
