Tasks

This role supports the Group Procurement Director in ensuring supplier selection aligns with strategic objectives, while achieving defined cost, quality, and delivery targets for both Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and New Product Development (NPD) initiatives. The Project Manager (Procurement) serves as a vital liaison between the Procurement and Technical functions, driving alignment and collaboration on key projects across the Group. -Together with Group Technical, champion the successful delivery of NPD projects on time and on budget. -Be visible and build a network with key internal stakeholders in Procurement, Technical & Operations, and externally within our supply base. -Collate, analyze and issue monthly activity reports for NPD, VAVE savings projects. -Working with the Group Technical team and following the defined project pathway process. -Develop ‘expert’ level knowledge on group-wide supplier profiles and their capabilities and identify new sources/suppliers where there are gaps. -Coordinate group-wide VAVE projects. This will mainly involve coordinating with project team members in Procurement, Supply Chain & Technical. -Provide commercial and contractual coverage for project related Intellectual Property (IP), ensuring that clear expectations for ‘deliverables’ are documented and agreed to by suppliers that we work with. -Ensuring that the key commercials relating to new projects are leveraged in with existing business and aligned with sourcing strategies, in order to maximize impact on supplier consolidation and build in future material cost savings.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and analytical, with the capability and motivation to become a subject matter expert in supplier performance, product data, and procurement processes. -Demonstrable project management skills and experience within a similar role. -Ability to work cross-functionally and influence colleagues to deliver assigned targets and goals -Confident approach to dealing with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure that Volution’s requirements are delivered. -Ability to analyze data and present results and trends is essential -Working knowledge of project management systems, processes and technologies is preferred. -Have a good understanding of sustainability best practice and how this should be implemented across the supply chain. -Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
