The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair construction plant/equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Tasks

-Analyse trends to ensure best return on investment and to minimise wastage and inefficiencies. -To ensure compliance with all H&S laws and regulations are met. -Carry out PUWER inspections in accordance with regulations. -Ensure all necessary reports are produced accurately and in a timely manner. -Carry out repairs and maintenance of all company owned plant and equipment. -Report to the plant manager / supervisor where improvements can be made on costs and other matters with recommendations. -Make recommendation to the plant manager / supervisor on the replacement and renewal of plant and equipment. -Carry out inspections, PDI checks, PUWER inspection to all plant and equipment. -Work as part of a team of plant engineers and apprentices. -Support site management teams with reactive repairs to plant and equipment on site. -To ensure all work carried out at the Ripley yard workshops and sites is done so in a safe manor as not to cause harm to themselves or others. -Carry out repairs in the workshop and on site in a safe manor and obeying all site rules. -The jobholder is responsible for the maintaining of all plant and equipment that is owned the company to a high level and in line with manufacturer guidance. -Maintain adequate levels of stock for the maintenance and repair of equipment in the van.

What You Bring
