Tasks

The Safety Manager will be responsible to lead and develop a team of Safety professionals. This individual must create and execute leadership development plans for their teams. They must communicate team expectations and provide frequent feedback, and ensure the team is executing to the core competencies of a Price Safety professional. -Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Price Safety and Environment Policies. -Analyze Safety metrics and review incident trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest. -Measure site’s performance against published requirements in the safety policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. Drive accountability for the plan -Lead incident investigation program for occupational health and safety related incidents -Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliant equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury at other sites. Review all changes to ensure new equipment and process are compliant. -Oversee facility industrial hygiene and workers health programs -Audit recordkeeping practices and HSI entries to ensure compliance to the safety standards and regulations. -Ensure site leadership and employees are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training. -Audit the workplace organization and employees’ behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent -Ensure the SWPPP and Site spill Prevention Action Plan is updated and in compliance with the local agencies. -Conduct ergonomic assessments to reduce potential MSD hazards in the workplace and production lines -Develop, implement, and manage facilities training programs for hourly and salary employees -Manage facility workers compensation program to ensure prompt reporting and follow-up of injuries and illnesses -Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for management and employee lead safety committees -Perform hazard assessments for new equipment and operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and safety requirements

What You Bring

-Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy -Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies -Bachelor's degree. -3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations -Language: English, Spanish. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders -First Aid, CPR, AED certification. -Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability -Experience as PIT trainer.
