The Role

Overview

Provide engineering support for maintenance, safety, quality, and operations in Finishing Dept.

Tasks

-Troubleshoot equipment and process problems to root cause, providing engineered solutions to these problems -Support the department’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental goals -Develop into the technical equipment expertise for the department and provide technical leadership -Manage large equipment rebuilds – development, justification, management and implementation of these projects -Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations across the department including restoring flow during breakdowns and developing preventative maintenance systems (including during the off shift)

What You Bring

-Experience with power distribution systems. -Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position -Technical knowledge to support the installation, operation, and repair of electrical controls and automation technology -Previous experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics -trong problem solving and creative thinking skills. -Experience with rolling mills and mill controls, shears, strip processing and coiling, metal process furnaces or casting equipment -Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. -Minimum of 1 year of experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles -Experience with networking equipment, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning. (ideally as it pertains to Automation Communication). -Ability to work with cross-functional teams. -Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electrical engineering field -Strong written and oral communications skills. -Experience specifying, installing and troubleshooting DC and AC motor drives systems. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university -Manufacturing experience in the metals or similar industry, with aluminum rolling or processing preferred. -Experience with ladder logic and programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred -Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects.
