Tasks

-Assist with project turnover after award. -Review RFPs to determine company interest in pursuits. -Support the Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager as needed. -Conduct job walks to observe field conditions that may impact construction activities and potential bids. -Solicit bids and proposals from vendors. -Verify scopes and level bids from vendors and suppliers. -Negotiation of bids to obtain competitive pricing from vendors and suppliers. -Prepare proposals and participate in bid review and pre-award meetings. -Complete quantity take-offs and document reviews for cost estimates.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. -A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or closely related field), and 4 years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. -Familiarity with Sage Estimating and Planswift is a plus. -Ability to work extended hours as required by projects schedules or urgent circumstances. -Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC is a plus. -Effective planning and resource management skills. -Minimum of 2 years of experience cost estimating for successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects. -Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. -Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time (in-state and out-of-state).
