Tasks

-Drive automobile to various plant sites and work locations -Develop relationships with customer base to increase our customer value proposition -Increase reserve position across the footprint -Perform all duties in a manner that promotes a safe and ethical work environment in accordance with Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel safety culture -Continue to implement operational excellence goals across areas of responsibility. -Develop and maintain strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal support groups including Procurement, Environmental, HR, Credit, Finance, etc. -Ensure compliance with Martin Marietta policies & procedures with respect to safety, environmental, state, and federal regulations -Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day Nebraska aggregate production and rail yards -Pursuing growth initiatives and targets in line with Strategic Operations Analysis and Review (SOAR 2030) -Primarily responsible for the safe production and sales of the tonnage in the Eastern Nebraska market -Climb up to 100 feet above the ground on ladders and walkways without assistance -Interface with the sales team for critical product demand, needs, and strategic selling. -Exercise independent decision-making, prioritize conflicting demands

What You Bring

-Must have a valid driver’s license -Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. -Excellent work ethic with a high standard of performance and production -Valid Driver’s License -Possess excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff -Must be able to work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred -Leadership experience -Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings -Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights, and confined spaces. -Physical ability to climb on equipment to inspect -12+ years of related experience -Knowledge of all relevant safety regulations and a strong commitment to safety -Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers -Able to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground) -Able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces -Ability to effectively direct, motivate and coach the activities of others -Ability to respond decisively and calmly to emergencies and an ability to exercise sound judgment in problem-solving -Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require the use of hearing protection -Demonstrated ability with job-related computer skills
