The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair commercial building systems, support tenants, and coordinate with staff.

Tasks

-Maintains excellent Client relations through prompt and courteous responses to requests and/or directives from Hines personnel. Serves as an additional point of contact with the Property Managers regarding building operations. -Learn the locations and principles of operation, maintenance, and repair of all building infrastructure support systems assigned in the buildings. Guides other Alliance engineering staff on these items. -Maintains excellent tenant relations through prompt and courteous responses to tenant requests within the guidelines. -To effectively and efficiently operate, maintain and either repair or assist the Alliance Engineering Management Staff and the Property Managers in coordinating the repair of all base-building infrastructure and infrastructure support systems and related equipment without limitation. -Utilizes the Aware Service Request system and all its functions to correctly and timely address and process the Service Requests entered by tenants. This includes Preventive Maintenance. -Maintains excellent intra-company and inter-company relationships through a cheerful and cooperative work attitude toward co-workers, supervisory staff, management personnel, and personnel of other companies.

What You Bring

-Ability to perform simple computations using basic arithmetic (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). -Ability to communicate essential information needed for decision-making. -Day shift -Ability to understand basic building infrastructure system design and operation. -Ability to use appropriate English when interacting with tenants, supervisors, and personnel. -Ability to read and understand equipment instruction manuals. -Certificates Required: Sprinkler; Stand-Pipe; Low-Pressure Oil Burner, Fireguard -Ability to correctly interpret various instructions furnished in a written, oral, or scheduled format. -Ability to identify and resolve mechanical and basic electrical problems. -Ability to write reports using all parts of speech with reasonably proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
