Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control system faults, escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for electrical control systems (e.g. schematics, manuals and SOPs).
Support the implementation of control system upgrades and modifications under guidance.
Conduct routine inspections and basic testing of control systems to verify functionality and safety compliance.
Assist in the identification of opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to electrical control systems.
Assist in the maintenance of PLC programs to control manufacturing equipment, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to production specifications.
Participate in the design and development of control panels, including component selection, wiring, and basic PLC programming.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and project teams to support equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Ensure all work complies with site safety standards, Australian regulations, industry best practice and internal procedures.

2+ years
Some experience in PLC programming or industrial automation systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider), SCADA (Plant SCADA, Citect), VFD (e.g. SEW, Powerflex,) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design.
Proven experience providing on-call support for complex electrical and control system issues preferably in 24/7 operational environments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
Experience with preparing technical documentation and basic programming of control systems is advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow structured troubleshooting processes
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control, or Mechatronic required
Solid understanding of PLCs, SCADA systems, and VSDs, with a willingness to learn and grow as required in these areas.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Exposure to troubleshooting and maintaining electrical control systems in a production setting.
Foundational knowledge of Australian electrical codes, safety standards, and industrial regulations.
