Tasks
-Provide support in containing supplier Stop Ship issues -Align with VRT on Supplier Process (SP) BSAQ issues for Glidepath values -Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites -Participate in Whiteboard reviews and assigned sub-system VRT (Variability Reduction Team) meetings -Monitor daily production report (DPR) and provide notification to STA management for issues that require Site STA team awareness/intervention -Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations -Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations -Coordinate part quality confirmation process for suppliers with repetitive containment failure -Act as direct Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) resident supplier representative and liaison between STA and plant management -Drive resolution of external supplier process -1MIS and 0MIS warranty concerns -Work with Stop Ship stakeholders to support accurate root cause for Prevent Action Closure (PAC) process reporting -Support Daily Plant Quality Meetings (or PIC Room) to report on containment of SP ECB (Early Concern Binning) issues, participate in VRT forums, lead supplier preparation for VQRs (Vehicle Quality Review) -Assist the Incoming Quality (IQ) department with non-responsive suppliers -Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery -Provide early notification to and engage the STA Site team on potential Stop Shipments related to supplier process (SP) -Lead containment of special-cause supplier process -1MIS and 0MIS BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) projects -Support QR procedures by supporting concern binning, reviewing threshold QRs, and providing support for QR Dispute resolution -Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers -Lead adherence to corporate standards (i.e.Q1) -Assist suppliers and plants in QR/PPM (Parts Per Million) data accuracy -Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP) -Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality -Assist Site STA team with vehicle On-Hold and Release process tracking -Lead Critical Supplier Process to drive Supplier Quality Reject (QR) performance improvement -Lead cross-functional decisions with supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
