Overview

Lead contract admin for mining EPCM project, handling tenders, claims, and cost control.

Tasks

-Ensure control of site instructions. -Prepare and issue of requests for tender. -Ensure control of back charges. -Evaluate, negotiate and bring resolution to contractor claims. -Attend site inspection, kick-off and project progress meetings. -Ensure the cost Project control system is up to date. -Attend to any other contractual and commercial issues that may arise. -Upkeep of all Control Registers. -Ensure that Projected contract completion costs are updated. -Implementation and maintaining of project contract control systems and procedures. -Issue of all contractual notifications -Verify interim monthly progress certificates from contractors. -Compile and issue contract amendments. -Prepare and issue contract documents. -Manage and reporting of change control. -Ensure compliance and communicate with H/O cost control. -Evaluate, negotiate and award contracts.

What You Bring

-A tertiary qualification in a Commercial or Quantity Surveying Field. -Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Contract Administration. -Experience with NEC, FIDIC and bespoke forms of contract -Working knowledge of MS Project would be advantageous but not a requirement -Be experienced in managing contractual progress and claims for contractors in a stringent manner. -High level of people and communication skills -Ability to travel locally and/or internationally as and when required. -Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written. -Experience in an EPCM environment -Good computer literacy skills in MS Office and Excel. -Experience in evaluating, negotiating and awarding of contracts.
