The Role

Overview

Assist with geotechnical drilling operations, sample handling, equipment maintenance, and safety.

Tasks

-Use required and approved personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing all functions -Help in collection of data and samples in the field under the direction of the crew chief -Operate support vehicles in safe and lawful manner -Assist in drill rig maintenance and repairs -Assist in all aspects of drilling operations while gaining experiences necessary to work with minimal direction -Forward the samples to the project manager and/or client -Responsible for promoting and adhering to a safe work practice -Responsible for maintaining the tooling, equipment and support vehicle -Return field samples labeled, organized and complete -Maintain necessary documentation relating to the operation of commercial motor vehicles, if applicable

What You Bring

-A valid driver's license and good driving record required -Must be available for night and weekend work -Must be able to work in outdoors in all types of weather and conditions -Must have ability to obtain a valid CDL A license within 6 months -Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis -Must be available to travel up to 100% and on short notice -Strong mechanical aptitude -Previous drilling experience desirable -Ability to pass a pre employment criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen
