The Role

Overview

Lead design and delivery of complex structural projects across multiple sectors.

Tasks

-Design structures composed of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and their associated foundations. -Provide technical input and leadership to projects - incl review QA/QC of project deliverables as appropriate. -Design of structures in support of GHD’s Water and Energy Business Groups. -Develop new and repeat business within the WA Region as required – including preparation of proposals and bids for projects. -Carry out inspections and reporting. -Design commercial and industrial buildings and structures. -Use structural analysis software for the design of structures. -Construction monitoring/contract administration on projects. -Provide leadership, planning, and coordination of resources for each job including inputs with other offices. Responsible for understanding the client’s needs and managing the project and the project team to achieve these. Manage all jobs to deliver them on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client. -Design retaining structures.

What You Bring

-Chartered status or equivalent international recognition (highly regarded). -Significant consulting or industry experience. -Strong knowledge of AS building codes and standards. -Registered Building Engineering Practitioner WA (or eligible). -BE Civil/Structural or related qualification. -Proven ability in project management, design, and delivery of infrastructure and multidisciplinary projects. -Familiarity with public and private sector requirements.
