Tasks

-Support financial statement preparation by compiling and maintaining supporting schedules and documentation. -Provide key audit support by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing supporting documentation. -Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in financial reporting. -Assist in accounting for 401(k) and deferred compensation plans. -Prepare and post monthly journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and complete variance analyses on assigned accounts. -Review and analyze field office P&Ls, responding to inquiries and assisting offices with financial questions or variances. -Record various expense allocations and review reserves for bad debt and sales credits, making adjustments as needed. -Contribute to process documentation, internal control enhancements, and ad hoc or special projects as assigned.

What You Bring

Candidate must be local to the Northeast Ohio area and able to occasionally work onsite at our corporate office. Tradesmen International is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This position plays a critical role in our month-end close process, financial reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information across the organization. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. -Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. -Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently. -2–3 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting background preferred. -CPA designation or CPA-eligible strongly preferred. -Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred. -Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
