Tasks

-Providing guidance and support to internal teams on the development of the full business case for projects -Engagement with digital teams to identify and use available technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of project development. -Completing the cost-benefit analysis for projects, where required, and co-ordinating with stakeholders to gather the data / information required -Additionally, you’ll be invited to identify new digital improvements to aid decision making and data management, and may be required to represent the team in forums. -Support in evolving the cost-benefit analysis model including research and best practice in quantifying social, economic and environmental benefits -Support the Investment/ Business Case Manager in quality assuring the business cases – reviewing against best practice guidance and ensuring the business case meets guidance requirements. -Assisting in the development of the initial business case for projects before handing it over to construction teams -Developing methodologies to quantify how societal benefits can be included in our Cost Benefit Analysis to ultimately enhance the decision-making process for our projects -Coordinating with internal stakeholders (consenting, lands, external affairs, procurement and all construction project related teams) to collect relevant information for the development of robust business cases

What You Bring

-Evidenced experience reviewing and quality assuring businesses cases to ensure a cohesive document that aligns with processes and procedures – aligning to HM Treasury Green Book principles. -The ability to utilise spreadsheets and databases to interpret, manipulate and extract data from large data sets -Evidenced experience in developing / authoring business cases and leading the development of cost benefit analysis models to assess project delivery options and analyse results – experience with the HM Treasury Green Book guidance and five-case model. -The capability to gather and synthesise evidence to draw insights and make recommendations -Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability and confidence to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
