The Role
Overview
Support procurement and commercial delivery for water sector engineering projects.

Tasks
-Support governance processes including approvals, reporting and audit readiness -Help maintain procurement records and systems including spend tracking and vendor databases -Assist in the preparation and issue of tender documentation -Working alongside other professionals and JV construction partners, in multi-disciplinary -Help coordinate the evaluation of supplier proposals and support contract award processes -Execute requisition process for business requirements, for (but not limited to) commodities, supplies, construction services and third-party rental equipment using the Binnies finance system (Focal Point) -Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contract terms -Support supplier onboarding and prequalification using platforms such as Achilles and the Common Assessment Standard -Assist in the drafting and administration of contracts, predominantly under the NEC suite -Contribute to market engagement and supplier relationship development -Support procurement planning and scheduling aligned to project milestones -Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure procurement aligns with project needs -Assist in ensuring procurement activities support sustainability, innovation and value for money

What You Bring
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Previous experience in procurement, commercial or supply chain roles is an advantage but not required -Able to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities -Hold a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related discipline -Working knowledge of Microsoft programmes such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power Bi, and PowerPoint -Interested in working towards a professional qualification such as CIPS
