Tank Foreman

Overview

Supervises crew constructing/repairing tanks, reads permits & plans, ensures safety.

Tasks

-Confers with supervisor if permit information is questionable and appropriate measures are taken to handle the situation. -Conducts “tool box” safety meetings for workers. -Drives company truck to transport workers to and from work site. -Assigns duties, lines up and follows all work being performed. -Responsible for completion of and review of appropriate paperwork i.e., sign in/sign out sheets, valve lists, MSDS, time sheets, etc. -Trains and assists workers in performance of their duties. -Resolves any work-related problems. -Reads and interprets company policy to workers and enforces safety regulations. -Assesses need for equipment and is responsible for obtaining that equipment from the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• driver's license
• four years
• craft test
• high school
• trade school

What You Bring

-NCCER Certification strongly desired. -High School or GED preferred but not required. -Obtains work permit from appropriate source, reads it and performs a “job walk” to make sure working environment is safe and conditions are as outlined by the permit. -Must have valid driver’s license. -Trade School program preferred but not required. -Minimum Four years’ experience in Craft. -Must pass our in-house Craft Assessment Test
