The Role

Overview

Manage HR functions and multi-state payroll for 200+ employees.

Tasks

-Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations; performance and talent management; employee engagement; and training and development. -Prepares and processes bi-weekly, multi-state exempt and non-exempt payroll for over 200 employees. -Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. -Administer HR policies and programs; provides guidance and support to managers to ensure policies and procedures are enforced consistently; assists in developing and updating company policies and procedures as needed. -Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. -Manages HRIS/payroll system, including recruiting, onboarding, reporting, and payroll. -Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and managers, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters as appropriate.

What You Bring

-Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. -2+ years’ experience processing payroll, with at least one year’s experience with a multi-state employer with at least 150 employees. -Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all levels of the organization. -SHRM-CP or PHR preferred. -Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems (experience with Paycor is a plus). -2+ years’ experience in a HR Generalist/Representative/Coordinator role. -Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field required. -Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Ability to prioritize tasks. -Exceptional and highly professional verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
