Tasks
-Provide preliminary and detailed design packages for telecom projects involving microwave communication, channel banks, SONET multiplexer, teleprotection, fiber optic networks, C band/Ku band satellite, Tetra/VHF/UHF mobile radio, Power Line Carrier, -48 VDC Power systems, and IP/MPLS networks. -Provide technical assistance and construction support in the field, and undertake field reviews as required by EGBC. -Prepare project documentation and deliverables in accordance with project and Engineering Design Practices (i.e. evaluation reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, design basis', calculations, hazard logs, test plans). -Prepare construction requirements documents and circuit cutover plans. -Prepare signed/sealed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record (PoR) in accordance with EGBC and Design Practices. -Prepare technical specifications, test plans and commissioning documents for the installation of IP/MPLS routers and cards -Provide training for end-users and peers on the theory and operational use of the installed or modified equipment/systems. -Design and Configure Nokia IP/MPLS and Cisco IP/Firewall routers and other related routers/switches, LTE CPEs. Setup Lab to execute IP/MPLS test plan -Prepare IP/MPLS Test Report after lab or field testing to standardization of solutions or device introductions. -Provide technical guidance and support throughout the design process (cross-discipline integration, factory testing, installation, commissioning, and operations). -Prepare technical specifications, test plans and commissioning documents for the installation of telecommunication infrastructure. -Sustainment support IP/MPLS, and IP/Firewall networks -Specify and procure materials, coordinate panel assemblies and staging, and testing of equipment panels prior to shipping for installation. -Prepare and issue channel authorizations, design configurations and settings. -Prepare design work packages including scope, duration, and level of effort estimates.

What You Bring
-P.Eng and will be required to Provide Proof of Permit to Practice, registered with EGBC when hired -(8) years of experience in a relevant engineering with experience providing technical support of protection and control systems related to generating units and associated auxiliary equipment. -Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network. -Every contractor must supply their own Windows 10 or 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment. -Experience related to generator protection, control and associated systems, including practical and theoretical knowledge in protective relays, programmable logic controllers, excitation system, governor systems, and fault analysis / investigation. -Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, likely Electrical Engineering or Computer/Telecommunications Engineering. -Experience with preparing design work packages including scope, duration, and level of effort estimates. -Experience with preparing project documentation and deliverables in accordance with project and Engineering Design Practices (i.e. evaluation reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, design basis', calculations, hazard logs, test plans). -Experience with the system and detailed design of telecommunications networks involving microwave communication, channel banks, SONET multiplexer, teleprotection, fiber optic networks, C band/Ku band satellite, Tetra/VHF/UHF mobile radio, Power Line Carrier, Power systems, and IP/MPLS secure networks.
