Principle Primary Engineer (Proposals)

Tasks

-Assist in the professional development of proposals staff and coordinate with other departments on tenders -Provide technical support to Primary Engineers and attend HAZID reviews, site visits, and technical meetings with clients. -Support Primary Engineering in developing common engineering solutions and safe working practices throughout the substation lifecycle. -Ensure production of Primary Engineering drawings and documents meets design specifications, budget, quality, and safety requirements. -Compile Bills of Quantities and conduct technical evaluations of supplier quotations. -Communicate business opportunities and implement improvements in tools, designs, and processes.

What You Bring

-Experienced line manager, providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and trainees. -HNC/Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience, with extensive knowledge of the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry. -Knowledgeable in sustainability, continuous improvement processes, and commercial/contractual issues, with experience in a multi-cultural environment. -Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical information clearly and managing client relationships effectively. -Flexible in design solutions with strong decision-making skills and a positive, self-motivated attitude. -Proficient in the latest Transmission and Distribution standards and Health and Safety regulations relevant to High Voltage Substation design.
