Overview

Tasks

-Complete periodic cycle counts. -Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to the master list and recommends alternatives. -Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries. -Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, while obtaining recommendations from suppliers. -Ensure accurate transaction of inventory, both inbound and outbound. -Coordinate with scheduling to forecast upcoming needs in a timely matter. -Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations. -Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for jobs and orders. -Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation. -Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipment errors with suppliers. -Coordinate with production to determine needs for specific jobs as they arise. -Complete company compliance and safety training when required. -Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation. -Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents. -Secures purchase order approval from supervisor/manager when needed. -Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. -Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery. -Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled -Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. -High School or GED required. -Standing and walking for long durations -Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed. -ERP experience preferred. -1 year of purchasing experience preferred. -Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time -Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment. -OSHA10 certified preferred. -Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times -Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations -Adheres to the company’s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization’s core values. -A proven track record in safety excellence is required. -Ability to read and interpret work orders. -Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. -The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
