The Role

Overview

Assist with design, drafting, QA/QC, and construction support for transportation projects.

Tasks

-Assists with post design construction support services to respond to contractor RFI’s, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field observations -Prepares and/or modifies construction documents, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and designs for projects -Assists with utility coordination including conflict analysis and coordination with public and private utility companies -Coordinates work with other disciplines and offices on multi-discipline projects -Prepares and designs improvement plans for a wide range of multi-modal transportation projects -Analyzes maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects -Performs construction inspection on project-specific basis -Works with project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, drafting, design, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc.

What You Bring

-Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences -Good communication skills (written and oral) -Familiar with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation -Construction experience -Drafting and design experience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D for the design of alignments and 3D design surfaces -Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering -0-4 years of professional engineering experience -1+ years of experience designing transportation projects -Transportation project experience
